FRIENDS OF 516 ARTS PREVIEW: Saturday, May 14, 5-6pm
SILENT AUCTION: May 14-21
516 ARTS' first Studio Sale in 2015 was wonderfully successful for both the artists and 516 ARTS, and we were excited to once again present this fundraising event featuring Albuquerque-based, contemporary artists who, using the popular studio sale format, are selling discounted works from their inventories and making new work on the spot. Visitors were able to meet the artists and buy work off the wall to take home. Artists were present during weekend hours. Visitors were given the opportunity to build thier collections and connect with exceptional artists!

What is 516 ARTS and why support it?
516 ARTS is an independent, nonprofit, 501(c)3 charitable organization. Our mission is to forge connections between art and audiences, and our vision is to be an active partner in developing the cultural landscape of Albuquerque and New Mexico. We value inquiry, diversity, collaboration and accessibility. 516 ARTS offers participants unique opportunities to experience and engage in new, challenging and thought-provoking work in the context of our particular place and time in world culture. Our programs inspire curiosity, engagement, dialogue, risk-taking and creative experimentation, showcasing established and emerging local, national and international artists from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
516 ARTS is important to support because it is a one-of-a-kind, grassroots organization, serving as a vital engine for the arts and the creative economy through the following efforts: providing contemporary arts programs in an accessible learning context, reaching a wide audience of residents, visitors, families, schools and the community; being a thriving hub for the arts in the Downtown revitalization process, attracting crowds for arts and culture activities; playing a key role for the arts and culture in New Mexico and the Southwest by leading expansive collaborations that bring together artists, businesses, and public, private and civic organizations around our common concerns to make a bigger impact than any of us could have alone; and offering world-class arts experiences that showcase Albuquerque as a true arts destination.
516 ARTS is a small organization with a big reach, but we can’t do it without community support. So, come out and buy work at great prices from the 516 ARTS’ Studio Sale in the Gallery!
