Sat., June 29, 9am / 11am
Print Blitz and Parade of Flags
at the Downtown Growers' Market, Robinson Park, 8th St. & Central Ave.
The public is invited not only to observe, but also to participate in the Print Blitz as part of the public programming celebrating the opening day events of summer/fall exhibitions at 516 ARTS. Join featured guest artists in the production of multiple prints, using the artists' designs on both paper and fabric, many of which will then be ceremonially distributed in the Native tradition of "give-aways." Bring t-shirts to print on!
The event will culminate with a Parade of Flags, led by the large banner from the Banner Project and including some newly printed by the artists as well as some coming from their Flags project at the Venice Biennale.
Participatory printmaking starts at 9am followed by Parade of Flags at 11am.
Free and open to the public.
