Fidencio Sillón

Andres Lhima Sequence1Andrés Lhima is an award–winning product designer whose work has been exhibited in Mexico and in the U.S. While not specifically created for nomadic existence, Lhima’s Fidencio Sillón is a durable, stow–able and portable form of seating made from the same plastic mesh used for market bags. Suitable for a life on the move, the chair can easily be carried and can be activated by filling it with any number of recyclables such as plastic water or soda bottles, paper, leaves, pieces of cardboard, plastic bags or used clothing. This chair was one of the products selected in 2012 by Ana Elena Mallet for the store at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City as part of “Destination Mexico.”
