516 ARTS brings two of the most influential journalists exploring issues of immigration along the US-Mexico border. For 25 years, Maria Hinojosa has helped tell America’s untold stories and brought to light unsung heroes in America and abroad. As the anchor and executive producer of the NPR radio show Latino USA, and as anchor of the talk show Maria Hinojosa: One-on-One, Hinojosa has informed millions of Americans about the fastest growing group in our country. Simon Romero is a National Correspondent for The New York Times, focusing on immigration. While previously based in Rio Janeiro, he was the newspaper’s Brazil Bureau Chief and covered Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay. Special thanks to Lannan Foundation.
