Leo Vicenti

Leo Vicenti is a recent graduate of the MFA Studio program at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) where his research focused in visual communication design. He has worked in various mediums across graphic and fine arts, including his environmental and spatial work in exhibition design. He was most recently featured in the digital publication Viral Ecologies and shown in “The Future of Our Plans”, the MFA show at SAIC. After graduating he was granted a BIPOC scholarship to Type@Cooper’s Principles of Typeface Design: Display Type course. His work in typography design was highlighted in Neebinnaukzhik Southall’s article on the Letterform Archive website in December 2020. He currently teaches a course on website design at Columbia College Chicago. While he resides in Chicago at the moment, he was born and raised in New Mexico and maintains connection to the Jicarilla Apache culture and homelands.
