516 ARTS invites K-12 educators for a free workshop designed to support teaching by engaging with the exhibition Cromática by Tania Candiani, and by offering professional development around ideas and strategies for emotional learning in the classroom.
The workshop includes an exhibition tour by Viola Arduini, Education & Outreach Coordinator, focusing on educational ideas and opportunities that can connect contemporary art to classroom learning. Special guest educator, Magdalena Karlick, who has worked many years with school-age children, families and teachers as a school counselor and as a child and family therapist, will co-lead the event and will explore how to incorporate emotional learning that link topics of Cromática to the classroom curriculum.
Free printed resources will be given to all participants.
Coffee and light refreshments provided.
Space is limited.
